This selection of washi tape has a release backing. The starting point of it does have adhesive that can stick to the bottom layer. So that part of it will be unusable. After you unroll the tape at the start, peel off the washi tape from the release backing to start use. Think of it like how you peel off labels. This helps keep the adhesive from the foil and surface which is actually a good idea!
